The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler has been long awaited, but enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer. The upcoming model is set to make its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. While that’s still a little ways off, the upcoming Wrangler has seen some of its specifications leaked.
Excited off-road enthusiasts did some digging and found quite a few new features that will come in the 2018 Wrangler. Powertrain changes and full-time four-wheel drive is set to make the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler a true off-road monster.
Drivers will have three engine choices in the upcoming Wrangler SUV. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine will join the lineup. The current 3.6-liter V6 engine will continue to be available as well. A six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission will be available as well.
Notably, at least one version of the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler will come with standard full-time four-wheel drive. This will be the first time the renowned off-road SUV will offer such a feature.
The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler will be available with 10 packages, making it one of the most customizable off-road SUVs on the road. On top of that, drivers can also select a power-folding soft-top roof.

The annual Cars.com American-Made Index rates the “most American” cars on the market based on a variety of factors. These include how many parts in a vehicle are made domestically, where engines and transmissions are sourced from, and how many US manufacturing jobs support the vehicle.
The yearly Cars.com American-Made Index has been going on for 11 years. For the first time in 2017 it had to relax its requirements for making the list. As it was, only 3 vehicles would’ve met last year’s criteria—including the top two winners of the 2017 index, the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee.
These vehicles had high domestic parts counts, with 74% of Jeep Wrangler’s parts being American-made and 70% for the Cherokee. They also have entirely American-made engines, and almost every transmission used in the Wrangler and Cherokee are domestic as well. Both are or were made in Toledo, Ohio, though the Cherokee recently moved to Illinois.
Cars.com surveyed 1,023 respondents and 25% said they would only buy a car from an American brand. This figure has doubled since 2016. The American-Made Index helps these individuals determine which cars most support American workers and businesses.

Enthusiasts have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the new Jeep® pickup truck, but it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer. The new model is currently around a year away from hitting dealership showrooms. Fortunately, spy shots for a production prototype gives a good look at what to expect from the upcoming model.
The upcoming Jeep® pickup truck will be the first on the lineup in more than 25 years. Forget what we saw in spy shots last year. The latest photos indicate that Jeep® is out to play a whole different ball game.
The new Jeep® pickup boasts an integrated bed with Wrangler wheel arches. Bed sides meet the roof pillars at the perfect angle to create a traditional pickup design. While there’s no word on if the roof is removable, it certainly isn’t out of the question.
Based on the Jeep® Wrangler’s history and reputation for off-road capability and rugged styling, the pickup is bound to follow the same path.
The Jeep® pickup truck will likely begin production in 2018 and arrive in showrooms for the 2019 model year.

There are few secrets in Florida as well-kept as Flagler Beach, a part of old Florida that has yet to be ravaged by visitors. Located north of Daytona Beach, the area lacks any tall buildings and fast food chains. Instead, wide open spaces reign supreme. The result is a gorgeous view of the open ocean, but that’s not all the beach has to offer. Here are a few things to do in Flagler Beach recommended by us here at Flagler CDJR!
- Walk on the Pier – Taking a walk on the pier on the main public beach is something many visitors do year after year. The scenic views and mesmerizing trek over the wooden planks ensure memories are made all on their own. Alternatively, roll onto the sand in your 4×4 vehicle and take in the scenic view from the front seat.
- Gamble Rogers State Recreation Area – Located on the southern end of Flagler Beach, the Gamble Rogers State Recreation area features kayak rentals. Visitors can visit private islands and explore the area as they please. There are even more activities to take part in, but you’re best off checking the website for more information.
- Fish – When all else fails and you need a little rest and relaxation, take up fishing. Stand in the cool surf, cast off of the pier, or head onto the water in a boat. The choice is yours!
