2018 Chrysler Pacifica Named Family Car of the Year

2018 Chrysler Pacifica | Flagler CDJR | Palm Coast, FLWhen it comes to family cars, nothing does it better than the minivan. Despite many people negative attitudes towards the segment, once you experience the easy of loading kids into a vehicle with sliding doors, you never want to go back to anything else. That is why it is no surprise that the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica was named’s Family Car of the Year. gave out this award at its 2018 Best of Awards hosted during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit early this year.

According to editors, “Chrysler has a history of stuffing its minivans with innovations, and the Pacifica is no exception. It’s an achievement in practicality, from the improved Stow ‘n Go fold-flat seats to the available rear entertainment system that impresses even versus mobile devices.”

2019 Ram 1500 Tailgate Gets Innovative Update

2019 RAM 1500 Tailgate - Coming Soon!Spy shots of the still under-wraps 2019 Ram 1500 show that Ram is adding a new tailgate to its popular light-duty truck. The tailgate will be split to the right of the handle, letting it open in multiple configurations for the smartest and most storage-friendly tailgate access ever found on a pickup.

Traditionally, truck tailgates are hinged to the bottom of the truck bed and open down in one long piece. The 2019 Ram 1500 tailgate will have detachable hinges at both the bottom of the bed and the sides of the bed. This will let you open it down as one big piece, or open one piece down the traditional way and one piece outward like a car door, or even open both pieces outward.

This smart configuration makes accessing the bed much easier, since you don’t have to climb over the tailgate to get to the bed, and the split configuration lets you carry long items on one side without having the entire tailgate open.

Only the back of the truck has been photographed at this point, so we don’t know all the details about the new tailgate, but keep an eye out for updates on the upcoming 2019 Ram 1500! And if you want to find out more about the 2019 Ram 1500 tailgate, give us a call today at Flagler CDJR.

Jeep Pickup Truck Closer to Production

Jeep Pickup Truck is closer to production

Enthusiasts have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the new Jeep® pickup truck, but it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer. The new model is currently around a year away from hitting dealership showrooms. Fortunately, spy shots for a production prototype gives a good look at what to expect from the upcoming model.

The upcoming Jeep® pickup truck will be the first on the lineup in more than 25 years. Forget what we saw in spy shots last year. The latest photos indicate that Jeep® is out to play a whole different ball game.

The new Jeep® pickup boasts an integrated bed with Wrangler wheel arches. Bed sides meet the roof pillars at the perfect angle to create a traditional pickup design. While there’s no word on if the roof is removable, it certainly isn’t out of the question.

Based on the Jeep® Wrangler’s history and reputation for off-road capability and rugged styling, the pickup is bound to follow the same path.

The Jeep® pickup truck will likely begin production in 2018 and arrive in showrooms for the 2019 model year.

We here at Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can’t wait for the Jeep® pickup truck to begin production!
